WALT: play netball

We had a wonderful session today with Whitney, we played some mini games of netball.

WALA: The Rosary

Room 3 have been learning about the Rosary.
We have learnt:
-People have prayed the Rosary for hundreds of years.
-St Dominic taught people about the Rosary and how to say it. He also taught them to believe in God and follow in his faith.
-October is the month of the Rosary because the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on the 7th of October.
-When we say the Rosary we say 10 Hail Mary's at a time because this is a decade. This is followed by a Glory Be.

WALT: write an information report

Te Mahuri have been learning to write information reports. We have learnt that an information report is all fact so it does not have the word 'I' in it. We decided to write reports about some of the animals we learnt about during our inquiry learning last term. Here are some of us reading our reports. We hope you enjoy them.

WALA: gymnastics skills

Te Mahuri have begun gymnastics learning for PE. We are learning to use the mats for forward and back rolls, the beam for balancing and the horse for volting. We also use the trampoline to help us spring. These help us to improve at our overall gymnastics skill and technique. Here are some photos of what we have been learning.
