WALA: different language features

Writing 4 are learning about different language features. Language features include verbs, adjectives and nouns.
Today we learnt about verbs. A verb is a word used to describe an action. It is a doing word. 
Some examples of verbs are: running, ran, skipping, driving, jumping, writing, sleeping. 
Verbs can be written in the past, present and future tense. 
The past tense is something that has already happened.
The present tense is something that is happening now.
The future tense is something that is going to happen in the future. 

Past tense verb: 
I ran in the cross country. 
I drove a go-kart. 
Yesterday I played soccer. 

Present tense verb:
I am eating my brain fuel. 
I am running
I am writing verbs. 
I am chewing on my pen. 
After school I will have to watch mermaids. 

Future tense verbs:
I am going to go home after school.
I am going to eat my morning tea. 
We are going to go to the stockcars.
