WALA: different language features.

Writing 5 are learning about writing sentences using language features. Today we are learning about adjectives and nouns.

A noun is the name of a person, place, thing or idea.
An adjective is a naming word. It describes the noun.
An adjective can give information about the size, shape, colour or materials.

For example:
Red, green, large, broken, wood, melting, freezing, cold, black.

We have made up some sentences with adjectives in them.
This is a blue table.
Harry is freezing
Liam is melting
Millie is boiling
Miss Mitchell's scarf is black.
This storm is awful
The ice-cream is melting
It's a wooden table.
The black walls help our artwork stand out.
